  Francois De Vries

  Co-founder, Technical

  Francois has spent more than 30 years building data systems for healthcare, pharmaceuticals and financial services. He co-founded ImpactRx, which grew into South Africa's leading supplier of pharmaceutical business intelligence, used by nearly every pharmaceutical company in the country. Its data showed what pharmacies and doctors were actually dispensing and switching, not just what wholesalers sold. It competed directly with IMS Health, which acquired it in 2015. IMS Health is now IQVIA, a global leader in healthcare data, and Francois stayed on until 2018 to see the business through the transition.

  Earlier in his career he built claims processing and medical administration systems, and data warehouses for hospital and pharmacy groups. The problem was always the same: fragmented data that people couldn't fully trust. Frustrated with the context tools available for AI, he built the engine behind Platform to solve it.

  Garrett Strydom

  Co-founder, Commercial

  Garrett leads the commercial side of Entertek Dynamics: positioning, go-to-market, enterprise relationships and pilots. He has spent two decades building software and technology ventures across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, insurance, banking, logistics and financial services, for customers ranging from start-ups to enterprise and public-sector organisations.

  He co-founded CaDi Systems and took it from an idea to a platform used by shipping lines, ports and road transport companies across Oceania, now expanding into Europe. He started his career in bank-grade e-commerce security and business intelligence. He holds an MBA (Distinction) from Curtin University and a first-class BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology from the University of Greenwich.

Working together since 2013

Francois and Garrett have worked together since 2013, when Garrett joined ImpactRx. Over more than ten years they have built projects and ventures together and learned how to get the best from each other's strengths. Entertek Dynamics is the next step: a technical founder and a commercial founder who know each other well and plan for the long term.

Our view of AI

We think AI and people should each do what they do best. AI is good at reading large amounts of information quickly and finding how it connects. People are good at analysis, judgement and deciding what to do next. Platform gives both the same picture, shows where every answer comes from, and leaves decisions with the people accountable for them. That's how AI earns trust inside an organisation: it's useful, it's open about its sources, and people stay in control.

The wider team

The founders work with a small development team that builds and supports Platform, and with sales partners who bring experience in corporate sales and their own networks across Australia and internationally. All of them have worked with the founders for years, which means fewer handovers, faster decisions and a team that already knows how to deliver together.
